Hot Shot Wasp & Hornet Killer Spray (2 Pack)
Hot Shot Wasp & Hornet Killer provides fast, on-contact elimination of wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, and other pests. It features a long-range jet spray that reaches up to 27 feet, enabling safe distance from nests during application. The product is designed to be non-staining on most home siding, though a test in an inconspicuous area is advised before using on surfaces. This makes it suitable for outdoor spaces like decks, sheds, and garden borders where nests are visible but not easily accessible. The dual-pack option offers extended use for multiple nests or seasonal treatments. As with all sprays, read directions for safe usage and spray timing after sunset or before dawn when wasps are less active.
Wondercide Wasp & Hornet Killer Aerosol
This Wondercide aerosol uses natural essential oils for its active formula, offering an effective quick kill with a focus on exterior areas like porches and patios. The jet spray reaches up to about 15 feet, allowing users to target exposed nests while maintaining a safer distance. It is marketed as safe around kids and pets when used as directed, making it a favorable option for homes with outdoor dining spaces, playgrounds, or frequently used yard areas. While the scent and ingredients emphasize natural components, ensure proper ventilation and follow label directions for optimal results.
Raid Wasp & Hornet Killer Spray
Raid Wasp & Hornet Killer Spray provides immediate contact kill and is designed to eliminate entire nests. It offers reach up to 22 feet for safer application. This option is widely used for outdoor wasp control, with benefits including straightforward use and strong effectiveness against common stinging insects. For best results, apply during calm weather and avoid windy conditions to minimize drift onto people, pets, or non-target plants. Always follow label directions for surface safety and environmental considerations.
Raid Max Foaming Wasp & Hornet Killer
Raid Max Foaming Wasp & Hornet Killer uses fast-acting foam to cover and trap wasps and hornets, ensuring the entire nest is reached and treated. Foam formulations can be particularly effective for vertical or hard-to-reach nests where spray-only products may miss sections of a large nest. This option is well-suited for garages, eaves, and outdoor storage areas, offering a vigorous approach to nest elimination when nests are in crevices or under overhangs. Adhere to directions regarding outdoor use and contact times for maximum efficacy.
Spectracide PRO Wasp & Hornet Killer
Spectracide PRO Wasp & Hornet Killer is a professional-grade option that delivers fast knockdown and a jet spray reaching nests up to 20 feet away. It is designed to eliminate the entire nest and to prevent return by attacking nest residues for up to several weeks. This product can be ideal for larger properties with multiple nests or for professional use in yards, garages, or workshops. As with all aerosols, apply when insects are least active and keep bystanders clear during application.
Buying Guide
Key purchase considerations when selecting a wasp nest spray include reach distance, spray type, and safety indications. A longer jet spray enables you to stand farther from the nest, reducing risk of stings. Foam formulas can provide thorough coverage for irregular nests located in crevices, under eaves, or inside cavities, while standard aerosols work well for exposed, easy-to-access nests. Consider whether you prefer a formula with natural essential oils or a conventional chemical approach, balancing environmental impact with speed of kill. For homes with kids and pets, prioritize products marketed as safe around children when used as directed, and always follow label directions for application timing and ventilation. Finally, assess household needs: single-nest treatment vs. multi-nest season coverage, outdoor living space coverage, and whether a multi-pack is more economical for ongoing use. If you operate in a yard with frequent nest formations, choosing a dependable, easy-to-use option with a proven track record for rapid knockdown can reduce long-term risk and recurring issues.
Note: Always read and follow the product label for safety warnings, recommended application conditions, and disposal instructions. When dealing with large or active nests, consider contacting local pest control professionals for safety and effectiveness.
